Good dictatorship is always better than worst democracy. 

Have a look of people's face in U.S and China now, which country do you see more smile after this disaster financial crisis? Democracy is not the only solution can dig the screwed Average Americans out of the sub-prime hole. 

Without vast natural resources this country inherited, Australia is still a country you call "Republic of Banana".

This country has missed a lot of opportunities last few decades. From economic view, is it because of lack of investment in infrastructure and entrepreneurship? From human being's view, is it because decision makers prejudiced and unimaginative? 

To Australian politicians, please don't be dogmatic if you are in power. Always remember “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely”.

To those narrow minded "un-Australian", please go and visit some other part of the world. You will be amazed how lucky you are live in Australia, without working hard for 12 hours a day, earning less than $1 a day.

平安夜之日不平安：

上班，lunch time BBQ (Barbeque), table tennis. 早早下班，却找不着一个 tennis partner, 辜负一个美好的天气。Back to home, 忙着给自行车换辐条，之后再打扫已经半年没有清理的房间。I was in the hot water shower, singing "silent night, holy night" when you online. Right now ，在做绿豆粥。圣诞晚餐是粥加豇豆咸菜，再 watch NBA Rockets vs. Nets - 姚易对撞。

But I think I know the problem. Because America is a new country, the people who live there have no sense of history. And if you have no concept of “the past”, it is extremely difficult to grapple with the idea of “the future”.

If you think a bar established in 1956 is “old” then you will not understand the idea of next week. So why bother building for it?

We see this short-termism in everything from the average American house, which falls over whenever the wind gets up, to the way chief executives are treated. In Japan, you are given 25 years before you are judged on whether you’ve turned the company around. In America, bosses are given two months. And if there’s been no financial about-turn, they are fired.

AIG and Lehman Brothers got caught out because they were being run by people who live only in the here and now. They couldn’t see that it would all come crashing down in the future because there’s no such thing.

相识20周年北京2008全国同学大聚会

奥运成功了, 全球华人为之振奋。9.11 美国到没发生发生意外，但次债引发的全球金融危机，十个 9.11 加起来还不如。搞得十一全球股市被拦腰斩还不够，还要沿脚面砍下去不成？

2008 真是不寻常。大事如美国被从牛B神坛打下去，中国人开始笑傲江湖。小事如澳洲农民的房子盖得没影，MM 泡得没谱，工作忙得转瞎，聚会没得成行。

先道一声对不起。希望明年有机会回国一一拜会过去。
